The route starts / finishes at Brading Station and Heritage Centre where it links by train to the passenger ferry at Ryde, to other cycle routes on this website and to Brading Marshes Nature Reserve. Teas cakes and facilities are available here when the station is open.
The trail follows a very quiet road through the meadows and floodplain of the East Yar River before joining the Red Squirrel Trail at Sandown. It is possible to take a short detour to Brading Roman Villa for yet more tea, cakes and use of facilities.
