Newport – Wootton Bridge

A spur to Wootton Bridge

This route forms a spur off the Red Squirrel Trail and offers a pleasant off-road route if you fancy a little diversion.

Part of National Cycle Network Route 22, this route follows the old railway line towards Ryde and a roadside cycle track with a short on-road section when you reach Wootton where you’ll reach the last station on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.  You can also carry on beyond this trail along NCN22 to Ryde, though this requires more on-road cycling.
