You’re in the hamlet of Blackwater. If you fancy a healthy snack, Just uphill from the cycle track junction you’ll find the former St Barnabus church, a corrugated metal building now in use as a greengrocers. From Blackwater you can also reach Carisbrooke Castle via the back lanes (Sandy lane, Marvel Lane, Nunnery Lane and Froglands Lane) or follow the Red Squirrel Trail towards Newport and turn off at Shide.
